How to Use Castor Oil on Hair, Face, Body + Nails

Spa Life Castor Oil

Just hearing about castor oil? It’s everyone’s new favorite for so many good reasons, but castor oil has long history of use across centuries. Castor oil is rich in ricinoleic acid—a type of fatty acid with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and pain-relieving properties. Here’s how to apply castor oil for your body care:

Face: Apply 1-2 drops of oil to clean skin daily. Gently pat into clean skin until absorbed. Use before gum she and LED light treatments.
Hair & scalp: Part hair into sections. Apply 1-2 drops to scalp & ends of hair. Leave on overnight & wash out in the morning.
Brows: Apply 1 drop of serum to brow brush & comb onto brows. Wash off with warm water in the morning.
Lashes: Carefully apply to base of lash line. Let sit overnight & wash off with warm water in the morning.
Nails: Apply to nail-beds & massage into cuticles.

How should you store castor oil? It is actually not recommended to store Castor Oil in the refrigerator. Excessive heat and moisture can also degrade castor oil, so it is recommended to store your bottle in a cool, dry place. A pantry or room shelf is ideal storage, where the temperature is around 55-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Look for amber glass bottles when you're purchasing castor oil which protects it from sunlight. Happy moisturizing!
